WEEKEND IMMERSION
We are born with gifts, with a set of skills and a particular way of looking at the world that is unique to us. Add to that our life’s journey, and the lessons we have learned along the way, and we are left with a great and beautiful understanding: that we are the only person alive that can bring our particular set of capabilities and perspective to the world. We are the only ones that can bring our “it”.
Perhaps you have an inkling of what this might be, or maybe you know exactly what “it” is. It’s that project you want to wake up early for every morning and work on before you go to ‘work’, or the idea that wakes you up you in the middle of the night, begging to be made real. That “it” could even be a life change or a new way of approaching your current circumstances. The “it” is an idea, passion or dream that shows you how you might serve, how you might thrive, how you might bring your deep-seated enthusiasm forward to share it with others.
The spark is there in all of us, but it can be difficult to define what form it should take, and feel almost impossible to figure out how, or where, to start.
How to move forward?
We invite you to an immersive two-day experience at The Farm in Germantown, Hudson Valley. During our weekend together we’ll team tailored kundalini yoga and meditation practices with guided ideation and accountability techniques to help you find, define and outline next steps for your “it”.
The workshop is a purpose-based round of discovery designed to move your body and stimulate your mind to find the authentic message that only you can share. We will give you the tools to mine and envision it, a framework to move forward, and an understanding of how to market your project to sustainably serve yourself and others.
This retreat is designed to inspire action. We’ll help you define your goal and create your plan to move forward.
Between sessions, and meals designed by Chef Jesa to complement our program, you can relax by the pool, play tennis, go for a hike, and meet and mix with our alpacas, mini-donkeys, sheep, goats, and some very handsome hens.
At the end of the workshop, you will leave feeling clear, enthusiastic, and empowered about your next steps, with a bag full of tools to keep you on track.
These tools include:
Printed guides to yoga sessions completed during the weekend;
A personalized daily meditation practice to assist you with your challenges, goals and projection;
A complementary follow-up coaching session with Monica to further your ideation and discuss progress
Follow up group session in New York City to enable participants to reconnect with each other and their work
THE DESTINATION
Germantown is ten minutes south of Hudson, nestled on the banks of the Hudson River. It is a vibrant community which many artists, healers, herbalists and designers call home.
The retreat will take place at The Farm, a unique and spacious property with sweeping views of the river*; a pool, writing cabin, and tennis court. The animals are friendly and intuitive: coming up to nuzzle and sit by you when you need it most.
The main house was built in 1890. In recent times it was renovated and redecorated by an award-winning interior designer. Each room has its own unique theme and ambience--all of them feel magical and restful.
FACILITATORS
Kiri Milburn
Kiri always had a desire to write and knew that in order to pursue her dreams she needed to get uncomfortable and make a drastic change. She quit her job as a litigation lawyer in Australia in 2014 and bought a one-way ticket to Cape Town, South Africa. There, she discovered Kundalini Yoga, and with it a means to inspire and guide her new creative endeavors.
Kiri is now a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and writer, completing her MFA at the New School. She has been hosting retreats at her farm in the Hudson Valley, and in St. Gilgen, Austria, since beginning her teaching practice in order to share the transformative powers of Kundalini yoga, breaking from one’s routine, and taking time in nature.
"My weekend at Creative Yoga BnB was magical! Kiri’s warm spirit and spectacular attention to detail made each moment of this retreat unforgettable and deeply nourishing to my soul. I slept like a baby in my cozy room with a view of the river, awoke before the sun each day for sadhana, feasted on the most divine vegetarian/gluten free meals, took some seriously empowering kundalini classes, was given space to journal from my heart, and shared some quality time with the animals (sheep, alpacas, goats, and chickens!!!). I emerged from this weekend as the best version of myself. Forever in gratitude to Kiri and the Creative Yoga BnB crew for this experience. Wahe Guru!" —Jen P, yoga teacher and visual merchandiser

"Working with Monica is an absolute pleasure, and I'm not sure where my project would be without her! She understood what my book was going to become long before I did. She "gets it" on a level that is difficult to describe but can be felt and understood in her presence. She helped me conceptualize my direction, figure out next steps along the way, execute, and deliver. I believe in what Monica is creating in this world. If you have the opportunity to work with Monica - do it. You work will be better for it." — Erin McMorrow, Author, Yoga Teacher, Activist
